Asking for Ashraf [Fakhr al-Dawlah]'s hand in marriage
The author writes to ask for the hand of Ashraf [Fakhr al-Dawlah], daughter of Surur al-Saltanah (and Muzaffar al-Din Shah), in marriage. To convince Shukuh al-Saltanah (mother of Muzaffar al-Din Shah), the author also sent gifts, such as a pearl rosary and a diamond armband to her. The writer also seeks the permission of [Nasir al-Din] Shah, and expresses the desire that the wants the wedding ceremony be affordable to the bridegroom.
